Hi, I’m Katie (she/her)! I am a DC-based artist inspired by the whimsy and romanticism of everyday life. Though my educational and professional experience is in both mathematics and statistics, I have dreamt of being an artist since I was a child. Now, I am working towards being an artist fulltime. Often working with my chihuahua, Finn, sitting in my lap, I create art that puts a quirky twist on the familiar. While I am passionate about learning new ways to create, my favorite artistic mediums are currently paint, digital illustration, collage, and hand-poked tattoo. When I am not creating, you can find me strolling around Capitol Hill, enjoying an italian sub and a pickle, hosting dinner parties, and trying to learn how to bake.
